Namu

Introducing our first collections of pouch, Namu. With variant size you can carry your daily essentials stuff for the day!

We named it Namu, means wait in Namblong local language. We have a long story behind the collections name. This collections carry our journey, as a brand. Where we are on the development process, it took us 1 years to coming with the shapes of the pouch.

You will come with a questions “why does it took a long time?”.

Our knitters is a mothers from indigenous community who have strong values on what they make. We can understand the first rejections on the community about our inovations. As what we produce is different with the noken shape that the community knows and usually makes.

After dozen discussions and conversations, we finally had a group of knitter who willing to go with this new innovations and the collections get a good response on the market and able to be produces until today.


Kbo

Noken of Namblong Tribes, let’s carry the traditions wherever you go!

Our traditional collections of Noken are ready to carry your daily stuff. Available in various sizes and made 100% from natural materials of wood fiber.

In the community of Namblong Indigeneous People, Kbo used for variant needs start from a bag to carry wood fire, garden produces, and other needs for daily activities.

Rum

Enjoy our collections of a sustainable daily shoulder bag. Born through collaborations with Lot.Ta, an Papua local clothing brand

Lot.Ta is a local brand known with their Papua pattern. In this collections we are innovating the “Kbo Rum” a small noken usually used by Namblong indigenous community to carry daily personal needs. With Lot.Ta we are practicing sustainability by producing bag straps using used clothes scraps.

Traditions : In Namblong Indigeneous Community, “Kbo Rum” owned by men or “Ru” usually contain personal items such as betel nut, betel, lime, cigarettes, forks, and “yasip” specifically for certain male parents (wrappers made of mua bark containing “rum” (forks) or cigarettes). “Kbo Rum” owned by women or “Ki” are usually filled with “swey” (noken spun yarn), betel nut, betel, cigarettes, and “Kbo” or half-finished noken to be taken to sit at events such as mourning gatherings or dowry events, while telling stories with family
