Our products are 100% handmade using natural materials. We transform tree bark into thread and carefully craft each bag entirely by hand, without the use of machines. This dedication makes every piece unique, carrying the touch of each Mama’s craftsmanship directly to you.
Because all of our noken is made manually one by one by hand, the size and knitting of each noken will not be 100% the same as the one in the picture. The size in the description is our standard size which may be reduced/increase in real stock for each noken.
Ki Story
2022, is the beginning of our journey as a local brand. Ki.Basic was born in a village named Rhepang Muaib in the Grime Valley, Papua. Our brand mission is to develop local traditions into a product that can be used by various groups.
Ki.Basic was founded by two women from the Namblong tribe, with its name inspired by the Namblong women, known as “Ki” through this brand, we want to empower “Namblong Ki” or Namblong women through noken also preserving and celebrating their tradition of creating noken.
